We may be in lockdown right now, but the sun is shining, and you probably have a lot of time on your hands. If you want to fill out your day with tons of garden activities you can do in lockdown, then here are a few ideas to get you started.
DIY Crazy Golf
What can you find around your home to make your own crazy golf course? First of all, you need something you can use for the ball. When you have this, you can then begin to search your home for any other useful items. For holes, you can use cups or even cut-out cardboard. You can also use plant pots, bowls or even wrapping paper tubes. The world really is your oyster here, so try and search around and choose items which really do make the game more fun. Don’t be afraid to get the kids involved here as well, as they may be able to offer you a lot of different ideas.
Garden Picnic
You might not be allowed to have a picnic in the park, but you can easily lay a blanket down in your garden and create a nice feast. You can put down some cushions for comfort and you can also put together something special for the whole family. You can pour yourself a glass of champagne, play some great tunes and you can also unwind and watch the day go by. Although it may be a little chilly at the moment, you can light a fire and really make the most out of the time you have at home.
Have a BBQ
You cannot beat a classic BBQ. You can make the most out of the bright weather and you can also practice getting good for when the summer hits. If you are using coal as opposed to gas then make sure that you warn the neighbours as they may not appreciate the smoke. If you don’t have a BBQ or if you don’t want to pay out for one right now, then make a smaller fire pit and put a grill rack over the top.
Have a Home Festival
Glastonbury might be cancelled right now but that doesn’t mean that you can’t have fun at home. Consider setting up various areas of the garden. Create a bar where you can mix your drinks, create a playlist of all the music you love and also bring your TV outside if you want. You can watch old shows from festivals, make some headbands up for everyone or just have fun in general. Things like this can help to cheer up the whole family.
Make an Assault Course
Make your own assault course with things that you might be able to find around the home. At the end of the day, you can use anything you can, whether it’s a paddling pool or even some sheets that you can army-crawl under. Things like this can really make you appreciate the smaller things in your life, and it is great for kids too!
